I had a unique experience staying at The Liberty Hotel, where the historic charm as a former jail added an intriguing twist. The staff were friendly, and the location made it easy to explore nearby attractions. However, the room I initially received lacked a view and wasn't as clean as I hoped, which detracted from the overall luxury feel. Ultimately, the upgrade to the Ebersol Suite on my last night was a highlight, offering fantastic views and more space.
Rooms
8.0
The hotel does offer some of the largest rooms in Boston, though my initial room was dark with no view. After an upgrade, the Ebersol Suite was spacious and comfortable.
Service
7.0
While the valet staff always greeted me with a smile and remembered my name, some front desk interactions left me feeling undervalued.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location, while convenient for attractions, isn't exactly central depending on your plans, but it is an upscale neighborhood.
Dining

Dining at Clink was enjoyable; the cocktails were great, and the service was commendable, yet I found the breakfast options rather standard for a luxury hotel.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel boasts excellent amenities and beautiful architectural features, though I found some facilities like the room cleanliness not up to snuff.

My stay at The Liberty was nice due to its unique atmosphere and really good dining at Clink, though the service at times didn’t meet expectations. The historical charm of the hotel converted from a jail was captivating, and the location allowed easy access to the city. However, I experienced some issues with the cleanliness of my room that were disappointing.

While the overall facilities were impressive, I found the gym somewhat lacking in equipment for a hotel of its stature.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at The Liberty. while the historic charm of the hotel is captivating, the cleanliness and service aspects fell short. The staff were friendly, but I noticed some issues that affected my overall experience, especially in terms of room cleanliness and upkeep.

My room had a unique setup but lacked thorough cleaning. I found hair on the hairdryer and dirty towels were provided. The view from my room was uninspiring, facing a hospital instead of the beautiful river.
Service

The staff were generally friendly and eager to help. but I was troubled when housekeeping barged into my room unexpectedly. It felt disorganized, especially given the health precautions in place.
Location

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from historic Charles Street and other attractions. plus, it’s convenient to catch the subway right across the street.
Dining

While I enjoyed the concept of dining at Clink, the prices were quite steep and the food was just adequate. I hoped for a more nice culinary experience in such a unique setting.

I had a mixed experience at The Liberty. The hotel has a unique charm due to its history, and I appreciated the lively atmosphere. However, my room was not as clean as I expected, and I encountered some service issues. Overall, while there are some standout features, I was left wanting more for the price I paid.

I recently stayed at The Liberty Hotel and had a mix of experiences. While I appreciated the hotel's unique atmosphere and location, which is close to many attractions and public transport, I was disappointed with the service and the state of the room. The dining experience was enjoyable but came at a high cost. Overall, I felt it didn’t quite live up to its luxury claims. 😕🏨
Rooms

The room I stayed in had scuff marks and dust, which resulted in an overall lack of cleanliness that I didn't expect from a luxury hotel. Additionally, being placed in a noisy room next to a group of teenagers made my stay less pleasant.
Service
5.0
While there were moments of attentive service, particularly from the bellman, my overall interactions with staff were below expectations. For instance, the front desk staff's attitude didn't seem to match the upscale image the hotel projects, which was disappointing.
Location

The hotel's location is fantastic, conveniently next to Charles Street and right by the subway station, making it easy to explore Boston. The proximity to Mass General Hospital is useful but may not be to everyone's liking.
Dining

Dining at the hotel, particularly at Clink, was a mixed bag. While the food quality was good, I found the prices to be quite high for what was offered, and it felt a bit overpriced for my budget.
Facilities

The amenities offered were decent, and I appreciated the complimentary morning coffee. However, I expected more from a hotel of this caliber in terms of overall upkeep and additional facilities.
